Koios (pronounced Chaos) is named after the Greek god of intelligence; she definitely lives up to her name in both senses! Koios is one of those dogs that showed character early on in the whelping box ~ always calculating her next move, you can almost see mischief brewing in her eyes; she always satiates her appetite for adventure! She learned how to scale the x-pen at 5 weeks, and mastered the 'baby' gate at 8 weeks... she figured out how to let herself into the pantry for a snack (sneaking back out wasn't always easy, especially with evidence of taco seasoning around the muzzle), how to open the hotel room doors at her first nationals, and much to the dismay of her owners, sneak into the baby's room to play with all the diapers & then bust through the front screen to visit with the neighbors. When you need a chuckle, look for Koios.
Koios bring this feisty attitude into the ring, so showing her is always interesting to see how she will manage to pull a fast one on you just when the judge is looking your way... She is an extremely well-conditioned, solid bitch with a correct front, nice neck, good substance, excellent top line & tail set. Her rear assembly offers nice drive, and natural balance displays beautifully in a free-stack profile. Top that all of with a feminine, expressive head.
Koios' show career started off with a bang when she won the sporting group at her first match at 4 months old. Her other wins include a Best of Breed from the puppy class & a first place in the Brace class with Bisous at the 2003 Vizsla Club of America National events when she was 10 months old. Koios finished her championship by going Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners & Best of Opposite sex in a weekend, picking up a 3-pt & 4-pt major respectively. After a long hiatus, Koios is currently back out in the show ring, doing very well as a 'Special' with limited showing.
Koios has been putting her birdy-attitude to work in the field, earning 3 legs towards her Junior Hunter title with no formal training (handled by novice Junior Handler, Stephanie Beasley). She plans on finishing her title next Winter.
Koios was bred to Ben (CH Bayview N Tivoliz Cpr Crk Ben JH ROM) in the Fall of 2010 ~ click here to visit with the "Home for the Holidays" litter
